Training
Are you training the same way everyone did 25 years ago? The world of fitness has progressed leaps and bounds, but no one seems to know!
When talking about nutrition, I suggested, “think about how we ate as humans 10,000 years ago.” Now think about how the human body moved and worked too. Not only should we be eating the way we were meant to with the foods of this earth for us to eat, we should be moving the way we were meant to move. This is functional training. Using the whole body as one integrated mechanism that moves efficiently and properly.
The way-to-work-out is different than it was 20, even just 10 years ago. Go to any gym and you will see people training the same way they did decades ago. Like all things, fitness has progressed. My clients learn the proper way to train with new techniques, focus, and the understanding that it’s not about how much weight you can bench press, but about how naturally you move. This can be done through systematic progressions. Step one is to assess your body to find and correct misalignments. Then you can begin to work into a program that will keep you strong and balanced. Your fitness program should always be progressing and fit within your goals and lifestyle.
